Following the bread crumbs –
When we get home, we look at real estate in the area for fun – I find a listing I’m drawn to again and again – mention it to my husband – he says – that’s funny – I sent that listing to you! – We call a real estate agent – the realtor says, ‘that’s funny, that’s the first house I ever sold when I started selling real estate 10 years ago’ – two story with a red door – my husband decides to drive up and see it – the day he drives up (a Wednesday) I get an email we will have a meeting Friday afternoon (usually less than good news) – as my husband is driving home Friday, I’m in the meeting – and I am out of work by the end of the day as the clinic has seemingly within 48 hours shut its doors and now I’m free as a bird to move anywhere and do… anything. We go look at the house again together, look at another yellow house in Shasta Lake and out of sheer curiosity – the most expensive house – the green one – we cannot afford it – standing in the living room of the 1.8-acre green home the realtor tells us it’s an assumption loan – and it’s at 2.8%. We cried as all three of us prayed in the living room – and we were living here in the green house by the evening of December 13th, 2023.
